What is Cloth Diaper Trader?
Cloth Diaper Trader ("CDT") is a place for Americans and Canadians to sell, buy or trade cloth diapers/covers and accessories. Ads on CDT can be posted for FREE and will stay active for 60 days, after which, they will be deleted without notification.
How do I post an ad?
You can post an ad by clicking on “Post an Ad” in the top menu, right under the CDT logo. You have to be registered and logged in in order to post an ad.
You can find the "How to Post an Ad on Cloth Diaper Trader" tutorial here.
How do I delete one of my posts?
Once created, the listing cannot be deleted by a CDT user. Only the administrator is allowed to do so. However, you can change the availability to "sold" to let people know that the item is no longer available.
All posts are automatically deleted after 60 days.
How do I change my password?
Go to "My Account" in top menu and then click on the "Edit Account" button.
How do payments work on CDT?
CDT does not handle payments. You must agree on a payment method with the buyer/seller via email. We recommend PayPal. Do NOT send money to the seller as a "gift" when using PayPal. If the seller insists, please let us know so that we can review the seller's activities on the site.
How do I log in?
You can log in by clicking on “Log in” on the right side of the top menu.
How do I edit one of my posts?
To edit one of your listings, log in, click on "My Account" on the right side of the top menu, and then click on "edit" beside the post you want to edit.
How do I contact the seller?
To reply to an ad, use the contact form on the seller's listing page. You can find it below the images (if available).
How will I know if someone replies to my post?
When someone replies to your listing you will receive a notification email with the person’s email address. You can reply to the person's message by replying to that email message. No need to copy the person's email address and then pasting it into a new message.
Replies to your listing(s) may sometimes end up in the spam/junk folder, so please check that folder.
What does the number beside each category item mean?
It's the total number of available and sale pending listings. Sold listings are not included in this total.
Trouble uploading pictures?
Here are a few things you can try:
- Make sure the file size is less than 5 MB. CDT will not let you upload anything bigger than that.
- If the file is under 5 MB, try to use a different web browser to see whether it's a browser related issue. For example, if you're using Internet Explorer, please try to upload using Google Chrome or Firefox.
- Are you trying to upload using a phone or iPad? If possible, please try to upload the image using a computer.
- If you have the pictures uploaded on another site then use the "Remote URL" option by clicking on the link (by default it's set to "Upload") and then entering the URL (i.e. the link to your image). Remember to click the "Transfer" button.
If you're still having issues, please contact us.
How can I advertise on your site?
At the moment, we are able to display 125x125 ads only. Please see our sponsorship page here for more information.
